Job Title: Intern Administrator
Location: London City Centre
Contract Type: Temporary
Duration: April – End of October 2019, with possible extension of up to 2 months
Closing Date: 9am on 20th March 2019
Interviews: Expected to take place at SMF London office on 26th-27th March
Online administration tests: Morning of 29th March

The intern administrator is responsible for undertaking a variety of administrative tasks to support the work of the Social Mobility Foundation. The role supports the delivery of activities to all young people on SMF programmes.

Reporting line: Regional Development Manager
Salary: £10.55 an hour, 35 hours per week (London Living Wage)
Working hours: Monday – Friday, 9.30am – 5.30pm

Person Specification
• Excellent written/verbal communication skills and attention to detail
• Good experience of using Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel
• Experience of working on small projects
• Be well-organised and able to work well under pressure
• Be hard-working and efficient
• Personable and able to adapt their style of communication when switching from liaison with young people to employers

Main Responsibilities
The Intern Administrator will be responsible for:
• Regular email/telephone correspondence with young people (and their parents and teachers)
• Booking travel tickets for staff and students for SMF activities
• Making event bookings for participants on SMF programmes
• Mail merges and communications with a large number of students
• Keeping track of and maintaining expenditure
• Working closely with the APP coordinators and administrator to deliver activities for all young people on SMF programmes
• Drafting letters and documents
• Data entry and collation
• Updating and maintaining records on SMF’s Salesforce database
• Other duties, as required by the management team, to assist the operation of the SMF’s activities
