What is an APP Internship ?

An internship is a great way for students to explore their career options whilst building on the skills they will need to succeed in their university and graduate careers.

What are the benefits?

For a student, the benefits of undertaking an internship are numerous. Students get the chance to explore a career path they are interested in, which can help them with their choices about what to study at University, and strengthen their university application. Students who undertake internships with the SMF typically gain a great deal of confidence, and develop their communication and social skills.

Internships vary in duration between 1 – 4 weeks and take place in the summer between Year 12 and Year 13. We cannot guarantee all APP students an internship and will choose students for appropriate placements based on their applications and development throughout the programme.
