Why Donate?

Thank you for your interest in making a donation to the Social Mobility Foundation. All the money that is given is put towards our work to support high-achieving students from low-income backgrounds to reach top universities and professions.

There are several ways in which you can donate to the SMF:

Big Give Christmas Challenge

All donations to SMF between midday 28th November and midday 5th December will be DOUBLED. Help us support more young people to reach their potential. Donate here.

One-off donation

If you’re thinking about making a one-off donation to the SMF, you can do this quickly and easily through our Charity Choice page, where you’ll have the option to add Gift Aid onto your donation, making every £1 you donate worth £1.25.

Give As You Earn

If you’re interested in making regular donations to the SMF, ask your finance/HR team if your company operates the payroll giving scheme.  If so, you are able to donate up to £900 a year directly from your salary before it’s taxed.

Starting this option is easy as no standing order is needed, just let your employer know that you would like to start giving to the SMF and the donation will automatically be taken from your pay each month.  Find out more about it here and if you’re interested in this option, please email us at info@socialmobility.org.uk.

Fundraising

If you’re up for a physical challenge, then why not fundraise for us?

In the past, supporters and mentors have fundraised for us by completing the Reading Half Marathon, Whistler GranFondo and Canada’s Iron Man Challenge.  Employees of one firm teamed up to undertake a unique away day by completing the Three Peaks Challenge!

Email us at info@socialmobility.org.uk or call us on 0207 183 1189 if you’re interested in a challenge. We’ll even give you an SMF t-shirt to do it in!
