The Social Mobility Foundation Mentoring programme

- gives academic high-achievers from non-privileged backgrounds the opportunity to find out about a career as a barrister or a solicitor
- students coming through the programme will benefit from:-
- gaining insight into life as a barrister or solicitor
- assistance with CVs and interviews
- advice and guidance on personal and career development
- obtaining contacts and networks for their future career.
Participants must be highly motivated students:-
- Who have achieved at least 5 A grades at GCSE or equivalent
- Currently in Year 12 and predicted to get at least one grade A and two grade Bs at A-level
- Who are in receipt of Education Maintenance Allowance or Free School Meals; and
- aged 16 to 18.
Applications to the mentoring programme are accepted throughout the year from students currently in Year 12.
