Selection process
The Social Mobility Foundation asks schools and further education colleges to nominate their top students:
- Who have achieved at least 5 A grades at GCSE or equivalent
- Currently in Year 12 and predicted to get at least one grade A and two grade Bs at A level
- Known, or believed, by their teachers to come from low income families
- Aged 16 to 18
- In full-time education in the UK and taking A level courses leading to entry to undergraduate studies; and
- Possess a minimum B grade in Mathematics and English at GCSE or equivalent
