During his placement at Foster + Partners, Daniel worked closely with a team of architects in Group 4 on an international design competition. Here, he was able to use his talent and interest in software and web design to create a professional research report, analysing aspects of the site’s context. He proved himself to be extremely able and a real asset to the team.

The work he did was useful – his research and presentation helped us to understand, in greater depth, some of the details of the buildings surrounding our site. I think what impressed us the most was his professionalism and when he presented his findings to the team of architects at the end, he showed tremendous confidence.

I hope he feels that he has taken something very positive away from the experience. He has a copy of the report he researched and designed to add to his portfolio and we were able to draw on our own experiences to advise him on how to prepare for his interviews and university applications. We wish Daniel all the best for the future – he’s certainly one to watch!
