Social Mobility Foundation response to coronavirus

Following the updated government advice for businesses and individuals, the Social Mobility Foundation has made some changes to the way we are operating.

All our face to face activity with students across the UK has been postponed until 30th April. This affects student events, university visits and residentials, work placements, and mentor/mentee meet ups. We have been in touch with students on the programme, with their teachers, and with the volunteers and employers who support our work to let them know. We are keeping our planned programme of events for May and beyond under review as the situation develops and will update everyone when we can.

All SMF offices are now closed and staff are working from home, but we remain open for business and staff can be contacted by telephone or email.

Wherever possible we will reschedule student activity to later in the year or use online tools to deliver differently. Everyone at SMF is disappointed but we will respond creatively to do everything we can to continue giving our students an excellent programme of support to ensure they achieve their potential. We’re grateful to our partner employers, funders and volunteers for their flexibility and patience.
