Reverse Dress-Down Day – Support the work of the SMF

Wear business attire and donate to help the Social Mobility Foundation support disadvantaged young people.

Disadvantaged students and their futures are set to be disproportionately affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. Our campaign arm, the Department for Opportunities, recently published a YouGov poll which demonstrates that, while at home due to school closures, students from low income families are significantly less likely to have a quiet space to study, access to a tutor, or access to the internet. Our work supporting our students online, offering professional mentoring, employability skills webinars and university and careers guidance, is now more important than ever.

In the same month that our students are learning how to make a professional impression by joining our ‘Skills for Success’ webinars, we’re asking for your help.

Join SMF’s Reverse Dress-Down Day on Friday 15th May by ditching the lockdown activewear in favour of your go-to interview outfit. Show our students how you make a professional impression!

Promote SMF’s Reverse Dress-Down Day by encouraging your friends, colleagues and professional networks to take part.

We’d love to see your business wear! Show your support for SMF students by posting your professional look online using the hashtag #SMFlookgooddogood and follow us on twitter @SocialMobilityF to see others joining in.

Donate what you would have spent on your morning commute, your daily or weekly coffee supply, or your Friday lunchtime treat by clicking here!
