The following criteria apply alongside our other Aspiring Professionals Programme eligibility criteria regarding academic and background requirements.
In the majority of cases, the Aspiring Professionals Programme is open to those in Year 12 (England & Wales), S5 (Scotland) or Year 13 (Northern Ireland). The majority of the students joining the programme, therefore, will be 16-17 years of age. However, the following exceptions apply:
- We will accept applications from students who are 18 if they are resitting a year. Schools or colleges may be asked to confirm this.
- We will accept students who are 15 if they meet the year group criteria and are due to turn 16 by March 1st 2021 at the latest.
- We will accept students who are aged 19-25 if they are a care leaver, or have significant extenuating circumstances, and are in Lower sixth/S5. If the students are offered a place they will go straight onto our online APP Reach programme.
- Our residential students must be aged 16-18 at the time of the residential, and this is checked by staff before offers are made.
